Nominated by leaders in their industries, the Soul of the South Awards recognize Alabama's next wave of talent. SoulGrown marks its fifth anniversary by opening the awards to the public for the first time on October 22 at Barber Motorsports Museum, with a performance by Drayton Farley and an Alabama oyster raw bar.
SoulGrown believes that Alabama is the Soul of the South. Found within state lines are gifted human beings who cultivate their craft from home, creating the best of Southern culture. The 2025 Soul of the South Music & Entertainment winner has opened for Willie Nelson, played the Grand Ole Opry and landed a song on the hit TV series Landman. He returns for a special performance.
While pursuing a successful career in finance and real estate, the Alabama native created The Fedneck with the purpose of shining a light on small businesses through his hilarious-yet-authentic burger reviews.
